A Coup of Owls publishes short form fiction whilst celebrating and supporting diversity. 

Mainstream publishing can, but often does not, provide equal opportunities to those who have traditionally found barriers to publishing.

Our mission is to, in some small way, challenge the barriers to publishing and reading that affect marginalised communities. To do this we pay our authors whilst keeping our online issues free to read. By focusing on creators from marginalised and under-represented communities we hope to provide opportunities for publishing. By keeping our online issues free we provide authors with an audience and the ability to reference other publishers to examples of their work.

Submissions are only open to creators from marginalised and under-represented communities.
